J1/J2 visa queries...please help

Hello,
My husband and I will be applying for J1/J2 visa respectively. I have heard that apart from documents listed on US Embassy site, the consular asks for additional documents. I saw on the site and found the following list -

• Form DS-2019
• SEVIS fee
• HDFC fee receipt
• passport
• photograph
• DS-160
• VFS appointment letter

Supporting docs -

• Invitation letter from sponsor
• resume
• itinerary
• Research: A complete and detailed description of your current and past research, and any research you intend to conduct in the U.S, including a description of the practical applications of your research or study......WONT THIS BE INCLUDED IN THE RESUME & THE INVITATION LETTER FROM THE SPONSOR??
• Statement of purpose for your visit to US.....WONT THIS ANSWER IN THE INVITATION LETTER, WHERE THE DESIGNATION & AREA OF RESEARCH IS INCLUDED??
• Funding.....AGAIN THE SALARY IS MENTIONED IN DS-2019....SO WHAT DOCUMENT TO BE SHOWN HERE??

Apart from this, do we have to show any financial documents of home country (India) to proove our intention for non-immigrant visa? because nothing like this is mentioned on the website but still they sometime refuse visa on the basis of prospective immigrant visa applicant as in the case for 214b section.
Do we have to show any other document apart from listed above....please tell.

Please tell if any other documents are needed...please!

We have taken only one-way ticket and plan to buy return ticket from US once the contract is about to finish , will it be a problem since the initial contract is only for one year (can be extended) ??

Please help...I would really appreciate

VISA interview

Hi, I'm working as a Post Doc in US and my marriage is on card. Before the marriage I scheduled my visa interview. Do you think going alone is a problem? Because my institute already issued J2 dependent DS form. Appreciate any body give a suggestion regarding this problem.

If your area of research in TAL lists then it is preferred to take all such documents as mentioned.
Otherwise you will be in Admin Processing.

So attach these documents with CV separately with separate headings.
