Thank you for your earlier suggestions.
My husband has filled out a DS-160 form for his J1 visa and I am in the process of filling out mine (J2). We are planning to go for the visa interview together in India.
I have some questions regarding this:
1. My husband and I are living in the U.S. but I understand that I should give the address in my country of residence as home and/or mailing address. I have given the same address that my husband has filled out as home address in his DS 160 form but I dont have any documentation to show that I am living there. Will our marriage certificate be enough for this?
2. In the U.S contact information section, I do no know if I can give my husband's name and address, since technically he is also applying for visa? He has given his program sponsor's name and address as contacts. Can I do the same?
3. How important is it to provide information about educational institutions? Do I have to give information about all the schools and colleges I attended or are the latest and most important degrees/schools enough?
4. As a J2 dependent, I was informed that I can study/work in the U.S, but do I need to indicate this in the last section, where they ask if I am planning to study in the U.S?
I would be grateful to hear your suggestions.
Thanks a lot!
Best,
Ranjini
