    Can J-2 work on H1B?

    Hi,

    I am currently on J-1 (alien physician) and my wife has J-2 status. I wanted to know if she could get an H1B if offered by a company and work on that visa. Or does she have to apply for a waiver independent of me and then be on H1B? I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
