Administrative processing,
Hi everyone
i'm Moroccan and i'm studying in one of the top Business Schools in France. I found an internship in the USA AND i asked for a J1 visa.
Well i had my interview on may 23rd 2012 and the consular officer told me that i'm under administrative processing ( means they need to cheek further on my case), he kept my passport, gave me a paper with a ref number and he told me that it's going to take from 4 weeks to 8 ...
Tomorrow i'm going on my 6st week and i didn't hear anything from them.
Since here in France they let you wait for ever without giving you any information, I asked my mom who is living in morocco to go the american embassy over there and ask them about my case.
An officer told her that they granted my visa but he doesn't know when am i going to receive it.
6weeks that i'm waiting so far. I don't know who longer it can go up to ...
i can lose a lot by waiting ... my internship first and my the wish of traveling to the us ...
is there anyone who has been in the same situation one day?
And how long was the average waiting time for your visa ?
