Can I pay for my soon to be wife visa on line or dose she have to go I person to the bank to do so?

  • #2
It depends which immigration procedure you are using, and in what status it is now.

For a spousal I-130, there are three fees:

    1. $420 petition fees, payable when you submit petition.
    2. $88 sponsorship fee, payable to the National Visa Center online, after you are billed, after the petition is approved by USCIS.
    3. $230 visa fee, payable to the National Visa Center online, after you are billed, after the petition is approved by USCIS.

If she is not your wife, is may be a little early to ask how you pay #3 above, which is usually about 6 months after you submit the petition paperwork.

All the above assumes you are a U.S. citizen. If you are a Green Card petitioner, fees #2 and #3 will come up later.

For a fiancee visa, after the paperwork reaches her country, method of payment varies by country in which her interviewing consulate is located. For Philippines, the fiancee visa fee, $240, is paid at BPI bank.
