administrative processing at NVC

Hello,

Me and my fiancee are currently in middle of the K1 visa process.

What happened so far:

I-129F packet sent on May 10
I-129F received on May 12
NOA1 received on May 16
case approved by USCIS on June 30
NOA2 received on July 1

On July 27 we called NVC and they informed us that our case was in administrative processing.

For what we have seen in several K1 visa application timelines the NVC usually doesn't take long to process the application before sending it to the US consulate.

Should we be worried about this?

Yeah the NVC step takes the shortest time. I don't think it has been that long for your case. When did the NVC get it? July1st? it takes around 2-3 weeks just for them to receive the case. I would wait for a couple of weeks. Your process at USCIS only took a few months, mine took like 7, so I wouldn't be too worried right now.
