I misplaced the receipt for the approval of the next process. And we are currently waiting on the packet from the embassy to start the medical and interview. Did I need that receipt? If so am I able to get another copy?

Contact embassy or NVC
Contact your fiancee's embassy by email or contact the NVC to get the case #. You'll need it when you're tracking your petition progress online at the CEAC.state.gov. Otherwise, when you get the letter from the Embassy, it should already have all the information on it.
