Processing time taken for the entire process

Hi I am looking for answers and guidance on what to expect in terms of time lines the I 130 was submitted on the 5th of August and and the update on the USCIS is as follows " On October 8, 2015, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number LIN`xxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by November 7, 2015"
If anyone can advise on the steps and what to expect when for a spouse visa.
