    Wrong forms?

If you are not yet married, you filed the wrong forms. You should have used the K-1 forms. K-3 are for people already married.

        sorry

I'm sorry but I mis-understood you. In your first message you said "fiance", and now you say you are married. A little confusing. Once you are married, she is no longer considered a "fiance". So, you have filed the right forms. It makes a difference where your forms were filed, on how long before you will receive your NOA2, (approval notice). California service center received my petition for K-1 on July 18th and my petition was approved on September 18th. As you can notice, I filed for a K-1 visa and you are applying for a K-3 visa, so there may be some difference in the response time.
Just be patient and everything will work out just fine. If you receive any RFE's, just make sure you send back the information they may request from you, as soon as possible, (like the very next day).

thankx for the reply dear, really appreciate your response and guidence towards the difference of K1 and K3.
She applied from Missourie in June some where, is it possible for you give me some idea that how much time it may take from Missouri, she did't recieved any(NOA2) from them yet....we are waiting.....also some more questions I am having in my mind, if you can answer them.

          1. I am a Muslim and she is Christian, does this impact badly on the case.
          2. She is older than me.
          3. What type of questions they ask and what type of proof they want.

Actually, we married in Cyprus, she came to Cyprus from states and I flew to cyprus from my country, we spent 7 days together, we are not having much evidence except 3-4 pics of us while marring in the court and yes we can provide emails and msn chat sessions as a part of proof, what else they may ask, nothing speical, just curious......
actually the marriage was not planned properly, that is why we are having lack of pictures and marriage movie proof, except the court certificate.

Yes, one more thing, where I am expecting my interview the country I am living or the country where we get married. On the forms we provided the address of the country where I am living.

          Thanks and best regards

            More Help

You can find answers to any questions you may have and talk with other people who have filed around the same time as you and even see what time line you are in, by logging into: ***********.com. There are even people from the same countries as you and your wife, who have already gone through the process or are still going through it, that can explain anything you may want to know. This is the most helpful site on any type of visa. I would give you some of the information you ask, but since I am filing for a K-1 and you are filing for a K-3, there are differences in how the process is done. I don't want to confuse you.
I hope to keep in touch with you over at ***********.com.

              Hello,

I understand that she filed for the K-3 on your behalf. The process is as follows:

              1. File the I-130 petition in the Service Center they have have jurisdiction over her place. Get the NOA-1 in 2-3 weeks time.

              2. Then file the I-129F package with the NOA-1 of the I-130 petition to the NBC,Missouri. Get the NOA-1 for the petition in 2-3 weeks time and wait for the NOA-2 (You need to check the processing times for it)

              3. Then in 2 weeks time the case is forwarded to NVC, Portsmouth, New Hampshire . Contact then if they have recieved your package at 603 334-0700.

              4. Then the case is forwarded to the US Embassy of your home country in about 4 weeks time.

I hope it helped you understand how the process moves for K-3 visa.
