can i file b1?

hi all,

i will have a k3 visa filed in late november, but i need to appear for crucial interviews in january 07. i fully intend to return to my home country after the interview. is it alright for me to file for b1 in december for my interviews. i'll need about 2 weeks of stay.

please advise me on this, any pitfalls in teh process and how to guard against this. i'm deeply grateful for any suggestions.

Hello,

As the K-3 is pending, it is very much certain that your B-2 visa will be denied. You need to persuade the US consular officer in the US Consulate of your home country to get the B-2 Visa.

It is better that you get your K-3 visa filed after the B-2 visit to the US.
