Uk to USA NVC

We were approved by the NCIS on the 15th September 2006. The letter said we should here from the NVC within 4 weeks. Well its been 4 weeks and nothing. When we rang them all they said was they hadnt recived it and it could take up to 90 days.... Its this right. I wanted to be back before Xmas. Boo Hoo. I thought this part was the easy bit.. . Anyone out there got the same sort of dates????
