I-130 issue

Hello,
I am a US citizen and I am about to file I-130 for my wife. She was previously married to a greencard holder and he started her paper-works at that time. And then they got divorced and he cancelled the process. I have no written proof or document showing this. There is no way to get in touch with the person either. How do I handle this and what do I fill in the form? This happened almost ten years ago and also my wife has never left the home country. Is there any letter USCIS send out to the petitioner once they cancel it? Please help!

Does she have a copy of the divorce decree? That should be enough. The case was either withdrawn or denied due to abandonment. Don't worry about it.

Thank you so much for a quick response. I feel better now. Yes, She does have a divorce decree both from US court and from India as well. I am submitting both of them. What should I fill in question number 16 on I-130? What could be the check mark? Whether Removal or Recission? Or do I not mention anything? This was ten years ago. Please advice!

You said she never went to the US? so she never got a visa or abused it or was put in "deportation"?

Then just check NO. That is it.
