traveling while k-3 is being processed?

Hello,
One question:
If I file the I-130 for a K-3 visa this week, will it affect a trip we have planned to Costa Rica in April if we have to enter the US to depart (we would drive from Canada to Newark, then depart Newark to Liberia, Costa Rica)?

It will be very hard for you to enter the USA once an immigrant visa petition has been filed for you.
