If I were you, I would call USCIS regarding this.

Nayagam, thanks I will try calling at the end of the week. I thought I would have gotten my NOA1 too. I am ready to send my I-129f

Oceanlove...have you tried calling? Where are you and your spouse from? I am American and my husband is Canadian. We have been together for five years, and married almost a year. I am hoping because of this they are approving my I-130 petition. But I fear they may never have recieved the package. I have a money order reciept/tracking...so I am going to have to find that and see if they ever cashed it. Then I will call at the end of the week.

They had taken 3 months to sent me a receipt notice (Vermont)....I had sent it in October and they sent me the receipt in January. I had also freaked out thinking they never received it because the check was not cashed until beginning of January. They cash it when they actually open your package. Lucky for me....i had sent it express and therefore i had a tracking number with my package which after a long hard search...i found. When I checked....it said that Vermont had received my package 2 days later. Thats when I knew.....they were being lazy on their part.

Perhaps its not as bad as you think. Call but I wouldnt worry too much.

Actually same thing happened to me as well. I applied in October and I got the receipt notice in January. However that was expected at that time due to the spike in volume of applicants.

                My timeline

For those of you who have not received their NOA1s just hang in there. I sent mine in end of February. Also, you can call USCIS and tell them if its been more than 60 days since you sent the forms. They should issue the NOA1 immediately. One of my friends tried this and she got the NOA1 hardcopy within one week of calling.

                  does it matter?

I see Prateek has sent there I-130 in 6 days after I did. Why would it be that I havnt heard ANYTHING and Prateek has already gotten NOA and sent in I-129?

Do you think it matters how long you have been with spouse? I am asking because I have been with my husband for five years, and we married last July. Would this affect my petition (good or bad)?

                    Hi Sodell,
No, being with your husband for a long time before you married is a good thing before you got married.
Did you send your petition regular mail? or certified mail? I know again its taken them a bit to issue receipts, especially Vermont.
One guy waited 8 weeks, and finally got his.

                    Beth

I am a US citizen and my husband is English -- I call USCIS every Tuesday you would think they would get tired of me calling, I still havent heard anything and I also sent them a certified letter on April 20 - Hopefully I will hear something back soon - I already have the whole package ready to send again if I dont hear anything in the next week or so, My husband is here so we really need his EAD, This has been a very hard experience, that hopefully will be over soon!
