Hi im a us citizen and my fiance is a ghanaian has anyone had any experience with the ghanaian consulate? i have recieved the approval notice or I797 letter and i'm not sure the wait time for things to get started in ghana. I'm also confused about I797 and when its expires what i need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well i'm a Ghanaian and married to American,my wife filed for fiance'e petition 2007 nov 16th.and my interviewed date with Us embassy here in Accra was 17th nov.2008. it means it took us one whole year, but never worry ya can come and visit him or her.....i wish you good luck and all the best of life....for more info call +233244620286.
