adjustment of status

hi,my fiance and i got married last april 17,2009.our marriage license send back to the county clerk office.they said it takes about 2 weeks before we get it back again,my k-1 visa will expire on may 13,2009.is anybody there can help me what to do?i have to wait for my marriage license back before we mail my AOS and EAD?or i can mail the AOS and EAD papers first?please help me...im worried about my visa status.thank u....

As long as you are married, it will be fine. just wait until county clerk send you the marriage certificate. it will have your marriage date on it, then you can go forward with the process.
