  • K1 visa, please help me

Hi my name is ashley. My fiance lives in vietnam and i want to petition for him to come here. Right now i am on state aid due to pregnancy, my fiance and i just had a baby. I was wondering how being on welfare might effect the petition and i was wondering if a I-129 f form is elgible for a fee waiver?

    k-1 visa please help me

How do you plan to pay for the petitions and still have enough to live on since you are on state aid? Did you work last year and do you have enough income to sponsor your fiance? Do you plan to return to work soon? You may want to check the income guidelines before you apply? You can probably still submit the petition, but you may need a co-sponsor for the income portion? Good Luck to you all.

Yes you can use a co-sponsor, as long as that person is willing to become financially responsible for your fiance (they don't actually HAVE to be... just say they will be)

I suggest if your using a co-sponsor to go down the route of hiring an immigration specialist to help you put together your K1 application, the one I use costs $485 plus the $455 filing fee to the UCSIS, but well worth in my opinon
