I recently accompanied my fiance to the Dominican Republic for the interview process for our K1 visa. We were approved by the consulate officer but are still waiting for the actual visa to arrive by messenger. I called today to the Visa Center and they told me the process is under review and no visa was granted and it could tale up to 6 weeks.I then asked them why would the consulate officer say YES we were given the visa and we paid the fee for the messenger service to deliver the visa and now they are telling me it's under review??? Has anyone experienced something such as this?? My fiance has moved in with her mom, sold her furniture and is being now told the process is under review?? We knew not to sell anything until AFTER the interview which we did and now this....and to top it all off i cannot get an honest answer from anyone.....i need advice.
