  • Question regarding medical exam for k1 (pls help

Hello guys, my name is shiela and i have been browsing these forums for a while. Anyway I have been w/ my bf for 3 years and we are currently in a long distance relationship. I tried to get a tourist visa to see him back in 2008 but i got denied (the consul didnt even ask me for bank certificate and when i tried to talk, he would hold his hand up in an attempt to make me stop talking )

Im currently 30 years old, a while back i had a baby but since i was in school at that time i had him adopted by the fathers parents. They take care of him and we still keep close contact. I never had a bf after giving birth until i met my present bf.

We decided to get married but since he does not want to settle here in the philippines we have to get a fiancee visa for me, in the form i-129f it says " list all children of your alien fiancee" and i currently put "none" there since i dont have a child where i will bring to the u.s.

I read there will be a medical exam and i have no plans to lie to the doctor, i will tell everything. I read on some blogs that the doctors on st. luke actually ask you 5x if u had a kid or not. If the woman is a bit chubby or a bit flabby maybe the doc judges through that, or the stretchmarks

When they give the embassy the medical results, would it indicate a previous pregnancy or would it just state that i am healthy? I dont want to be accused of misrepresentation of documents this is my only concern.

I have been really sad regarding this because I am worried the interviewer will attack me regarding that and shoot me down, i really dont even think much of this fiancee thing i just want to be married to my bf. It hurts to think i might never be with him.

Please help me ..thank you in advance.

When you have a medical they will ask you if you have children or ever had children . You don't have the child with you as you had baby adopted out but you need to write 1 child and name. There is a further question later asking if this child will accompany you and there you will write no.

I think if the child is legally adopted, then you have no children to list for immigration. Legal adoption is giving up the child and all rights as a mother. If the child is just living with the grandparents with no legal adoption, then yes you have a child.

If I had given up a child for adoption, I might not know who the new parents were or even the child's name. As far as the doctor, having been pregnant or even given birth doesn't mean the child survived. Yes tell the doctor but I don't see how that would stop immigration.
