    I797-C interview?

    I got a K1 visa issued in July last year and married in the USA in September. In November we did the Adjustment of Status form. Now I've received an I797-C form with a checklist and details of another interview my wife and I need to attend. Is this usual?

    One interview was strictly for a visa to enter the US.

    The interview for adjustmentof status is to determine if you can remain in the US as a permanent resident.

    It's normal.
