I have recently read that Vancouver embassy only does interviews for Candian Citizens. However I have also read that people with work visas have shown documentation and been allowed to use the Vancouver embassy, which otherwise they had to go to Montreal. However, I have seen no verification of any of this. Can anyone verify or elaborate?

There is no rule that only Canadian citizens can be interviewed in the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
