Police Certificates from UK and Pakistan?
Hello.
I’m doing a little research on behalf of my fiancé. He was born in the UK, so is a British citizen. However, when he was a baby, his family took him to live in Pakistan. He grew up there until he was about 20 years old, when he moved back to the UK. He’s lived in London ever since.
I’ve seen that, in order to file a Nonimmigrant Visa for a Fiancé (K-1), We’d need to have police certificates from the UK (since that’s where he lives) and from Pakistan (since he’d lived there for more than 12 months after he was age 16). However, I’m finding information online that police certificates may be considered unobtainable from Pakistan. What should we do in that case? Would the police certificate from the UK be considered satisfactory?
