Is W2 must for H1 Extension?

I have to apply for my H1 extension by end of this month. My I140 is approved. I was not in US of A for entire 2011, so no W2 for that year.

So, is W2 required to file H1 extension, or couple of paystubs enough?

W-2 is not required, strictly speaking.

For the duration you were in the US, you must be able to prove that you were getting paid at least the wages mentioned in the LCA.

Thank You. I am with the same client, when i got my earlier I140 based H1 extension. Would this help in the H1 extension approval?

Also could you please let me know the approx. cost for H1 extension? This would be my second extension based on my I140 approval.
This time, I might have to share the cost with the employer.
