7 months and no updates.
In fact there has never been an update on my case since the visa interview.

You can Travel to US on B1/B2

Hi,
I have been following this thread for sometime now. I am also a victim of 221g. Applied for fresh H1B at chennai consulate on 2nd may 2013. I was issued a pink slip with no documents asked. There has been no updates since then. I had a question. I already have B1 stamped in my passport. I need to travel to US for couple of weeks for my current project. Is it possible that I withdraw my passport and travel to US while my H1 administrative processing is still on? Will it impact my current proccessing time?
Please suggest.

Even if we cannot meet somewhere near Toli Chowki (which ideally I would prefer), at least if we can meet somewhere in between Dabeerpura and Tolichowki will be nice. I am the escalation contact for my team as my manager is out on medical leave and I need to be within 15-20mins of my house. And yes, it will have to be either a Saturday or Sunday.....

It looks like the status update on July 5th was indeed for a good reason. My visa finally got issued yesterday (July 8th). Now I am waiting to pick up the passport.
Interview date:May 16th
First status update date:July 5th
Issued:July 8th
53 days today. A little less than 8 weeks.

Finally I can travel back and be with my hubby Good luck to everyone waiting. This has been one the most heartwrenching waits I have had to endure. I hope all your cases get cleared soon.

This has been one the most heartwrenching waits I have had to endure.

We all should learn lesson from this experience and be prepared next time, I have read at many places, if you receive 221g first time, 80% chances you will receive it everytime you go for stamping. So next time better be prepared and make proper arrangements if you are planning for stamping in India.

Doe anyone have any idea that clearance time of subsequent 221 g is as the fisrt 221g. I got 221 g in 2006 & 2011 and every time it got cleared in three months. Should i hope that this time also it would take three months as earlier 221 g.

I pray that everyone gets it soon, aameen..
