H1's Tax Return documents for H4

Hello all –

I have been in US for 3.5 years out of which I was a student for 2 years and have been working with an employer since 1.5 years on H1B. I am getting married now and trying to bring my spouse to US on H4. She has a visa interview in coming days. The supporting documents state that she needs my income tax returns. I don't have my tax returns documents for 2 years when I was a student but I have one for the term I was employed on H1B. Do I need to have previous years tax return documents as well, when I was not on H1B?

That's fine. If you had no income while a student, there was no need to file a tax return. Your wife will only need to prove that you are getting paid as per LCA and hence maintaining H1 status.
