Visiting London (Heathrow) having stamped H1b visa.

Hi Guys,

I have stamped H1B visa and a return ticket to USA. I will be travelling to India Via London (Heathrow). I have 23hr layover at Heathrow. I have following 2 questions :

1. Can I get outside to meet my friend staying in London ?
2. If not then can I book a hotel out side Airport ?

If 1 & 2 are no then my only option is to book a hotel inside Airport. In that case can I atleast roam around Terminal 1, 2,3,4 & 5 ?

Any comment is greatly appreciated.

For both the options, you will need a UK Visitor Visa.
