Additional Administrative processing

Hi All,

I went to NewDelhi consulate for my H1 stamping on 22nd July'05. After checking my petition and credentials, the officer told to me that they want to do some more administrative processing and also said that once the processing is over the embassy will contact me. then i asked the officer that how long it takes. he said that he dont know the time frame. Can any one tell that how long this takes and is there any way to contact Embassy from my side. The officer didnt take my passport.

I too was sent back for same reason. It happened on June 22, still have not got any call from Counsellate.

If any body has information how long does it take in general, Please let me know.
