h4 to h1 visa

Hi, My wife has H4 visa. Can you please advise how should we approach to get a H1 visa so that she can start working as soon as possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Find a job. The employer will file the petition for her. If she has never had H1 petition in the past, she will have to wait until Oct 1 to start working. The petition may only be filed on or after Apr 1.
