  • Consulate Appointment

    Hi,

This is Sarada. I have question on the Consulate Appointment.

I have booked appointment with my previous H1B details at Consulate Chennai to get my H1B stamped as I my passport has H4 Visa. Here is the thing. I have recenlty changed my Employer and my H1 transfer is in progress. Can I use the same appointment to get my new H1B stamped ?

Reason is when we book the appointment for H1B, it asks for Petition number and Expiry date. I gave my Old Employer H1B details and booked the appointment.

    Please help me in this.

    Thanks,
    Sarada.

    Hi,
It would be better if you can make the appointment after your new H1b approval comes. You can opt for premium processing if you are in a hurry. However, if you think that will take time, then travel on your old H1b(make corresponding appointment at Consulate). By the way, whom are you working for right now?
