New H1B from multiple employers

My wife is currently working on L2-EAD. One consultancy came forward to apply for H1B in this year quota.
Now her current employer also ready to apply H1B for her.
Is it ok to apply for H1B from two different employers?
If yes, and if both the petitions gets approved, what to say to consultancy as we are leaning towards the current Employer?
Any suggestions?

Yes, both employer can file. She can choose any employer. But, the second company will spend some money to file this petition and if you are not going to use it, it is not ethical on your part to hide this from them.

Thank you. Is there any chance of getting RFE due to H1B processing from 2 different employers. Do we need to mention any where in the 2nd application(submited to USCIS late compared to other employer) about the other h1b application (submitted first).
