New H1B filling and India travel during processing

I am in us on H4 visa..I am applying h1b visa in next month (in april).. I would have to travel to India.. for my SIS-in-law marriage.. from May 1 to June 15.. please help me understand..
1. do u suggest to travel. Or no?
2. my employer says that this may lead to rejection as H4 to H1 is COS. Is there any other alternative?

In case my India travel is mandatory. While returning
3. Do I have to go thru consulate for H1 even before Oct..
4. Travel back on new I-94 for H4 visa. Would this effect my h1.

Please help me..

If you travel while your H1 is pending, you would have to stay in India and get H1 visa stamped, and enter in October.

If you enter on H4, it would cause problem on your H1 processing.

Just wanted to understand what kind of problem it might be. Is there any way, I can defend it. My employer was saying something like H1 amend....

Also, I am not sure if H1 stamping would be straight enough... Seeing other threads and friends cases with proper job and work they are worried..
I am worried like hell... Please suggest me some solution...
