Can aesthetician (beautician / cosmetologist) licensed in US apply for H1B Visa?

Hi,

I am from India and currently on H4 visa since last 4 years. I have completed my aesthetic and nail art(manicure / pedicure) course in US and obtained the license for the same. I was just wondering if I am eligible to apply for H1B visa. Salons are ready to sponsor me but I am not sure if I can apply for H1B with this specific skillset and if not then is there any visa that can permit me to work as an aesthetician?

I will really appreciate if I can get a quick response.

Hey! I’m in a similar field, and I totally get your situation. From what I know, H1B is usually for specialized occupations that require a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, so it’s tough in our line unless the salon can make a solid case.
