Hi All,

I am working for A company. Got my H1B visa approved and stamped till 2015. I have not yet traveled to US. If I have to change my employer to B before even travelling to US,can my H1B visa still be used? If yes then what is the procedure to change the employer ? How much time does it take normally to change the employer?

Yes, you don't have to go for stamping again as it is valid till 2015 and you can use the new approved petition (from your new company) while you are entering here. Premium process would take 15 days and the regular would take normally from 2 to 3 months.

I too have same doubt.
1. If i apply visa transfer from new employer Y, wil it create any issue for my current employer X(as my visa is from current employer X)? will my current employer X get any intimate about my visa transfer to new company Y before i inform ?
2. After my new petition get approved from my new employer Y, can i change my decision to come n work in US from my current employer X on old petition basis? Just need clarification and wanted to understand the possible ways.

1. Your current will not get any information until u inform.

2. Yes, you can do that as well but you need to work for only one employer at any point of time. But if you are sure that you are not going to join new employer, Pls don't proceed further with them and they will ve sending their money and time on you. Respect them as well.

I had a query. When the Employer Y applies for Transfer of Petition, can I travel to US on my stamped Visa before the Transfer of petition gets approved ie. just with the receipt of Transfer request filed??

No, you cannot do that. You will be in trouble at the POE if you don't have a new employer approved petition if you are going to work for new employer.
