Need urgent help! H1B transfer

Hi
I am on my 6th year of H1B. I have an approved I140 (2011 priority date)
My current visa expires in July 2013. At this time, I am compelled to make a visa transfer.

Will the new employer be able to transfer and extend my H1B to 3 years based on my current employer associated I140?
Please let me know at the earliest. Appreciate your speedy response.

What are my other options if the transfer is not possible?
