question on re-entry at Port of Entry

Hey Folks,
I am returning to US next week with my spouse.
I am working on H1B visa and my spouse is on L1B . Each of us, is working for different employer.

Question, is
1) Should we go together when CBP officer calls us at POE ? or go separate, since we are on different work visa ?
2) Also, when we fill in the CBP form, do we fill separate forms or just single ? ( Note : It mentions on CBP-6059B form to fill single CBP form per family)

Please advise on this situation ?
