Clarification Needed on H1B Visa

I have been working in a company named X and got my H1B stamped in last June 2012. But i didn't travel till now and my company doesn't have any onsite requirements as of now. Its possible to transfer my visa to another company without travelling? if so what is procedure that has to be followed?

Find a job with an employer who is willing to file for you and they will file a cap-exempt petition. This can be done at any time within 6 years after current petition expiry. Provide them with a copy of the current H1 petition approval notice. After petition is approved you can use the same existing Visa in your passport (if not expired) to travel to US and work for this new employer.
