H1B Visa Expired 5/10/2013. Family based Green card pending. EAD pending.

Hello,
I need your advise.
I am on a H1B visa and it expired on 05/10/2013.
I am married to an American citizen and I485 AOS is pending since 03/19/2013.
I haven't received the EAD yet. I am the sole bread-winner. What are my options?
Is there any way I can continue working?
Please let me know.

You have to wait for the EAD by law. Even though unauthorized employment is overlooked for immigration purposes. If you have a current EAD then you can keep on working

Do you know when I will get my EAD approved?
I'm out of job already.
EAD status says "Initial Review" since 03/19/2013.
And my attorney says that there is no way to expedite the decision. Is that true? Or contacting Congressman will speed up the process?
