My situation:
H1B with COS is approved for 2014.
I am currently on H4 in US , H4 and I94 both expiring on August along with spouse's H1.
Now my prospective employer suggesting me to get my H4 extended till Sept 30th only as my H1B starts from October 1st.
As my spouse's h1B extension is already in process, I am not sure whether they might have already applied for my H4 also. Her company told that the application is in process with attorney.
My questions:
Will I know before they apply for my H4 extension? I have read that I need to sign on I539 form for H4 extension. Is it the same and only process for all the employers?
What happens for my H1B if my H4 gets extended beyond September 30, 2013?
