I want to explain my situation and need advice from people who would know about this..
My Indian employer filed for H1B in 2012 and the petition was approved. Since I was soon going on maternity leave stamping of the visa was not done. At the same time, since my husband's employer was planning to send him to US, I got a H4 stamped for me and my newborn.
My husband's travel got delayed a lot and he left for US just last week. I now want to resume my job and my employer would be ready to find a US project for me.
I have the following queries:
1. Will my H1 petition still remain valid even though I now have a H4 visa?
2. Will the petition still remain valid if I travel to USA to meet my husband on my H4 for say 15 days?
3. My baby has a valid H4 (based on my husband's H1) but she will be travelling with me when I go on my H1 (assuming I can get it). Will I have to file another H4 for her based on my H1?
