Beneficiary of I797 receipt nbr

Is there a way to find out the beneficiary name for the I797 receipt nbr?
One of my frnd tried to file H1 this year through a consultancy and they said it is picked up in lottery and gave them the receipt nbr. he asked for the copy of the receipt document which they declined to share , but they shared the EAC number.

is there a way for him to find out if that EAC really belongs to him?
