H1B Extension and Transfer at the same time with a new employer

Dear all,

My case is :

Current: H1B with company A (Expire: Aug 31, 2013), this is my first H1B, I was on OPT before that.

Company B: I accept the offer from B (Starts from Sep 1, 2013), now B is preparing my H1B transfer and extension (Sep 1, 2013 - Aug 31, 2016).

My question is can B files the extension and transfer at the same time on the same I-129 petition?

Yes, both the employers can file their petitions. You can work for any one employer.

If current employer's petition filing can be postponed, it may be a good thing to do. (Not necessary, just to save them the filing costs)
