Urgent- Help needed

Hi all ,
I was on OPT but I recived my H1B approval with I 797 form with current employer which will be valid from Oct 2013 - 2016.
But Now i want to switch to some other employer , Can I do it?
What is the process and any risk involved in it?

Yes, the other employer can file cap-exempt H1 petition for you and you can join them at any time. It will be better to join them after their petition gets approved to be on the safer side. They will need a copy of the H1 receipt notice or approval notice.
