Urgent help for Reject receipt for H1B application

I work in New york. My employer applied H1B for me in April 2013. They are saying that my application was not selected in lottery system and it was rejected. So is there any way by which, i can come to know that my application was submitted to USCIS or not? If yes then is there any tracking no generated by USCIS?
