Leaving on F1 status, returning after h1b start date

My h1b petition got approved with a start date of Oct 1. Is it feasible to leave the US in Aug (I only graduate on Sept 26) and return in the 2nd week of Oct? Appreciate any input, and many thanks.

Yes. You will of course need valid H1B Visa in order to return.
