Please suggest me,
My passport expires on Aug 2016 and My Visa expires on Sep 2016. I am planning to travel India on Sep 2013 ( I am currently on OPT Cap Gap), I need to go to Visa Interview before I return to US on Oct 2013. But to schedule visa interview I need to have passport with expiration date 6 months beyond my VISA expiration date and I can't renew my Passport before 1 year of my passport expiration date. How can I come out of this Problem? I also read that some countries are exempt from this rule and India is one among them, but I am not sure about this. Thanks in advance.
