Need to transfer my H1B, but lost my passport and I-94..please help

Hello,

I just got a new job and about to start process of H1B transfer. But unfortunately I lost my passport (along with I-94 card). I am soon going to apply for new passport and I -94.

Can I still apply for H1b transfer? I have my copy of I797 from my current employer and first, last page copies of my passport but I don't have recent copy of my I-94. Please someone help me out in this.

You may be able to use the following link to retrieve your I-94 number and print out a copy. You will need that.

I got my I-94 Admission Number from the link *. Will it be sufficient instead of my lost I-94 Card? Do I require I-94 replacement application receipt as well?

Print out from that CBP website will be sufficient. But if you apply for duplicate I-94, the receipt for that application will not hurt.

Can I apply for H1B transfer with photocopies of my old passport? or do I need to wait till my new passport comes (which I am in process to apply)?
