Travel on L1-B with pending RFE on H1-B

Hi All,

I have L1-B visa, and i did travel on it multiple time. My employer has filed my H1-B visa, and current status of H1-B visa is RFE requested, and my employed yet to send the response back, last date to send response is first week of October. Now from my current project I need to travel for a month on L1-B visa. expected travel date is anytime in current/next week. So my worry is will it be OK to travel on L1-B while there is pending RFE on my H1-B petition. Plz advise.

One more question, if i want to renew my passport while on travel to US, does it required any minimum stay in US before applying for passport renew?
