Hello,

I'm working with a J1 visa in usa and I found another employer. He proposed me a H-1 visa.
But is it possible to stop a J-1 and start a H-1?
Do I have to finish my J-1 visa first or not I don't know..?
Could you help me ?
And if it's possible do I have to come back in my home country to get the
H-1 ?

Hi,
I think that if you discontinue your J1, the return to home country rule will not apply and you can start working for H1b if your status is accordingly changed. Please consult an immigration attorney before you take any concrete step.

What are the restrictions on your J1? - If it has some restrictions you may have to go out of the country and get an H1B Stmped.
