Passport renewal before H1B visa expiry

Hi ,
My passport is expiring on 26-Mar-2015.But my H1B visa is valid till July 2015.So I am planning to renew my Indian passport in US (SFO) . My question is

1)I have only one proof o address (vonage bill) .Is it fine if I have only vonage bill as proof of addressDo we need secondary evidence?.Also do I need to submit bill for last one year I stayed or only one bill is sufficient.

I dont think private telephone bills are accepted as valid address proof. You would need lease agreement/utilities bill or such to prove your address.



Notarized Photocopy of Proof of Residence- For example Driving License/ Utility Bill – Gas/Electricity/Water/ Rental lease agreement /Home Mortgage Bill (In case of minor proof of residence of either or both parents is accepted....

Thanks for the answer ..Is it fine to show the lease agreement of current address alone .Because in India if u you renew passport they ask proof for last one year of stay. In US , so far I have stayed in three locations (all in SFO and I have not completed one year in US yet ) .
Is it fine if I show only the latest least agreement (where I currently reside )or do I need to provide proof for all addresses where I stayed (in US) .
