Hi All,
I stumbled upon this forum and wanted some advise if someone has been through the same situation as mine.
I took H4 visa appointment for my wife via the CGI website with her Maiden Name while her passport has my last name. She tried to correct the last name by raising a service request on CGI website and they just responded by saying that since the interview is already scheduled they can not change the name, so go ahead with the interview. However, some people in office say that when you go for the biometric interview...the VAC folks will ask you to reapply anyway. DS160 has the correct name.
So now I have three options :
1. Go ahead with the interview and tell the VAC about the screw up.
2. Cancel this appointment and reschedule
3. Dump this application. Pay another Rs12,000 and start all over.
Has anyone been through a similar situation. Please let me know how did you handle it.
